Nomination
The nomination period for STAR Awards is now open. You can download the STAR Awards brochure on the left hand side. Right-click the image on the left and select Save As or Save Location to download the PDF brochure. Click Here to Download Brochure.

Nomination Guidelines
- A candidate can be nominated for more than one award.
- The candidate must meet the criteria as stated in each award description.
- To submit a nomination, the following is required:
- Completed SHPE STAR Awards Nomination Form.
- Biographical sketch that is no more than two typed pages.
- Nominee Merit Description: No more than two typed pages covering the following:
- Describe the nominee's contributions and achievements, including dates and effects or results.
- Describe specific examples of how the nominee's efforts resulted in the enhancement, development and/or promotion of SHPE.
- Letters of recommendation or other materials that might support the nomination.
- Include a color photograph of the nominee.
- Additional consideration will be provided to current SHPE members in good standing.
- All materials received become the property of SHPE. Please do not send original documents.
Submission
Use the following form to upload files for your STAR Award nominations. Put all your files into a Zip folder and upload them as a single file.
For PCs:
- Open the "Start" menu and click the "Computer" icon. Navigate to the location of the file or files you want to Zip.
- Select the files or folders you want to Zip by pressing the "Ctrl" key and clicking on each one in turn. Skip this step if you only want to Zip one file.
- Right-click the selection or file and move to the "Send to" option. Click the "Compressed (zipped) folder" option to create the Zip file.
Please name the files as follows: "award_name-nominee_name.zip". For example: jaime_oaxaca-joseph_garcia.zip
